Men's Basketball Remains Undefeated

IRSC Men's Basketball hosted their annual Veteran's Classic over the weekend. In the first game of the weekend the Pioneers defeated South Georgia State College. The Pioneers were led by Jayshayne Woodard who had a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 4-5 from three. Micah Octave had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jyre Mccloud and Deng Majak also scored in double figure for the Pioneers with 14 points and 10 points. South Georgia State was led by Carlos Hart who had a game high 30 points. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "South Georgia State is a very good basketball team, they play hard and are very well coached. Our guys did a great job buying into our gameplan and playing together tonight in order to get to win."

 In the second matchup IRSC Men's Basketball defeated Time to Ball Prep. The Pioneers were once again led by Jayshayne Woodard with his second double-double of the week with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Antoine Jacks was the other Pioneer to record a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists. Five other Pioneers also scored in double figures, Pablo Tamba had 20 points, Micah Octave had 14 points, Ocypher Owens had 13 points, Mostapha El Moutaouakkil has 13 points, and Mykol Sanchez had 11 points. Time to Ball Prep was led by Kristopher English with 9 points. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "Time to Ball Prep is a very well coached a successful program. Our guys did a great job executing on both ends of the floor tonight."
