IRSC volleyball takes a set off No.17 Eastern.

Wednesday, October 11^th the Pioneers lost to the Titans in a tough fourth set match.

In the first two sets, IRSC started off to a very slow start as the Titans took the lead and ran with it. Indian River struggled to close the gap in both sets and Eastern went up 2-0 on the match.

With the match on the line, the Pioneers knew they had to battle in the third set. Indian River came out with a lot of energy. The River applied great pressure behind the service line and at the net. No looking back, the Pioneers pulled out set three, 25-20. The fourth set looked very similar to the first two sets as the Titans bounced back quick and gained the lead early. The Pioneers stayed resilient but again, struggled to string some points together. Titans took the fourth set and won the match 3-1.

Next match is Saturday, October 14^th on the road against Santa Fe College.
