Volleyball wins fourth straight match.

Indian River State College women's volleyball team beat Paso-Hernando State College 3-1 on their first road match of the season.

The Pioneers and the Bobcats started off strong, going head to head in the first set with a tied score 27-27. The Pioneers were able to pull away and capture the win 30-28. With the momentum and energy on the side with the River, they took a strong lead in set two 7-1. Indian River continued to apply pressure, winning 25-14.

With a 2-0 lead for the Pioneers, the Bobcats came out with a new mindset and started to fight back in set three. Similar to the first set, both teams played point for point but unfortunately with consecutive errors made by Indian River, Pasco-Hernando seized set three 23-25.

However, with the combined 12 kills from freshman Wiktoria Telecka, sophomore Olivia Melton, freshman Hailey Mull and freshman Rylee Waldie as well as 4 aces from Indian River, the Pioneers were able to unify and take set four, 25-16.

The Indian River State College women's volleyball team is now 4-0 and look forward to competing at home Friday, August 25th at 6pm and Saturday, August 26th at 2pm.
