IRSC Triumphs Over St. Thomas as New National Record is Set
FORT PIERCE, FL- On Friday, October 18th, during the college dual meet with St. Thomas University, a new national record was set by returning NJCAA Female Diver of the Year, Alexandra Andueza. Her winning score of 314.47 surpassed her own previous record, set at the 2024 NJCAA Championships, by 21 points. She also went on to win the 3-meter event.
The competition saw IRSC defeat both the 2024 NAIA women's runner-up team and men's championship team, winning 15 of the 16 events contested for each program. On the women's side, in addition to winning both the 200 medley and 200 free relays, IRSC had eight different individual winners: Aurora Zanin (1650), Sara Safranko (200 free and 200 IM), Nika Tomic (100 back and 100 free), Ana Villamil (100 breast), Adriana Roldan (200 fly and 500 free), Ane Meier (50 free and 100 fly), Alexandra Andueza (1m and 3m diving), and Amelia Brown (200 back).
The men's side showed even more depth, with 11 different individual winners: Knut Robinson (1650), Tom Ferguson (200 free), Oliver Nell (100 back and 100 free), Kito Campbell (100 breast), Gabriel Morales (200 fly and 100 fly), Riccardo Pandin (50 free), Spencer Biggs (1m diving), Zack Gresham (200 back), Elliot Weisel (500 free), Justin Halfrod (3m diving), and Anderson Brown (200 IM). IRSC also won both relays contested.

Women – IRSC 215, St. Thomas 85
Men – IRSC 228, St. Thomas 72
Up next for the River is a dual meet with Keiser University, the 2024 NAIA Women's Champions and Men's Runner-up. The action will take place on November 6th at Keiser.
