Women’s Basketball Defeats Miami Dade on the Road

MIAMI, FL - Thursday evening, Indian River women's basketball traveled to Miami Dade for a second-round Citrus Conference matchup. In the first matchup, the Pioneers defeated The Sharks 71-64. 

In the second matchup, JaMya Robinson had a dominating performance that fueled the Pioneers to another win, defeating Miami Dade 60-51. Robinson earned another double-double, scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Brialle Washington added 11 points and four rebounds while Mo'Nique Joseph contributed nine points and nine rebounds. 

"We came into tonight's game down a key scorer and Robinson stepped up big for us. Those are the efforts we are going to need to finish the season," Coach Robinson mentioned.  

With the win, the Pioneers are 12-6 on the season and 7-3 in Citrus Conference play.
