Pioneers Looking to Pick Up Where They Left Off

Indian River State College Women's Basketball team is gearing up for another successful season. The Pioneers will be led by Sophomore Tavi Habib and Shomari Phillips, these two athletes were the only starters returning from last year state tournament run.

The Pioneers have added some notable transfers in Sophomore All American Rapuluchi Ngorka who has averaged a double double every game of last season. Claire Simmons is another notable transfer who Coach Robinson is expecting to have an immediate impact. Division I transfer Janiah Alexander will be key for the Pioneers at the point guard spot.

Coach Robinson Stated "This year team has been a fun group to coach, I am excited to get the season started. I think what makes this group special is their bond with each other and their willingness to do whatever it takes to win."

Coach Robinson talented group will start the season off at home November 5th and 6th against Fort Lauderdale on Saturday at Noon and Edward Waters JV on Sunday at 1pm.
