Women’s Basketball defeats Johnson University

Saturday afternoon in Fort Pierce, Indian River State College women's basketball team defeated Johnson University 88 – 30 in a non-conference matchup. The Pioneers led the entire game scoring outscoring The Suns 23 – 8 in the first quarter. The River defensive effort was on full display, The River held The Suns to four single digit quarters, forcing 36 turnovers.

The River had three players in double digits, led by Maryanne Logsdon who scored 20 points, Breanna Campbell returned back to action scoring 19 points shooting an impressive 9 for 14 from the field. Freshmen Tavi Habib tallied 18 points, six rebounds and 5 steals.

With the win the Pioneers are 7 – 4 on the season, the next game will be at Florida Southwestern tournament December 10th against Odessa at 3:30pm.
