Women’s Basketball Endure Back to Back loses

Monday Evening Indian River State College hosted Miami Dade College in the final regular season game of the 20-21 season. After going back and forth majority of the game, the River experience back to back loses, losing to Miami Dade 71-66.

After getting down by 10 points late in the third, the River struggled to find their offensive rhythm. Shooting a season low 26% from the field. "We couldn't get going offensively and had too many failed defensive assignments, as a team our willingness to win was not there tonight and it showed" Coach Robinson noted.

Sophomore guard Breanna Campbell led all scores with 24 points, shooting an impressive 10 for 17 from the field.

With the lost, the River drops to 12-4 on the season and 6 – 3 overall. The River finish the season as the Southern Conference runner up. The Pioneer next game will be at the State Tournament April 7th against Saint Petersburg College at 4pm Eastern time. The River will be participating in the State Tournament for the first time in 11 years.
