Saturday Afternoon, Indian River State College women's basketball program traveled to Fort Myers to face nationally ranked Florida Southwestern. In a back and forth matchup FSW would go on to beat the River 74-72.
Maryanne Logsdon led The River in scoring with 26 points, five rebounds and two steals. Maryanne shot an impressive 50 % from the field and behind the arc. Sophomore guards JaQarra Phillips and Miya Kimber added 11 apiece.
With the loss the River currently stands 6-2 and 1 – 1 in conference play. The River has been reaching new heights as of lately currently ranked 4th in the State and 25th in the nation.
The River will return back to action February 20th at 2pm against Miami Dade College.
