Indian River Splits on Saturday

Indian River Softball (37-8) split two games this past Saturday at The River. The Pioneers came up short in Game 1 in  a close loss to Florida Southwestern (4-2). The team fell behind 3-0 early but fought back to make it a tightly contested and exciting game late into the seventh.

IRSC outhit FSW six to four and also added six stolen bases, including two each from Raelyn Roland and Arianna Murillo. Game 2 featured strong performances all around with a convincing 12-0 victory over State College of Florida Manatee.  Dominique Prevette earned the win for The Pioneers and the offense collected 15 total hits, with multiple hit games from Bridget Dunham, Cambrie Todd, Cassidy Patterson, Daija Torchia and Raelyn Roland. Roland also drove in five. The team also added another seven stolen bases in the win.
