River Dominates in Naples at FSW Tournament

The Lady Pioneers won big in back to back games on Friday. In their second trip to the west coast in three days, the team recorded their seventh and eighth wins of the early season. In the first contest Indian River routed St. John's River 14-2 and capped the day with a 9-0 victory over St. Thomas University. 

The 12pm game included 10 strikeouts by Alina Vargas and the offense totaled the same in hits highlighted by Navaeh Kelepouris's three RBI's. The second game saw Dominique Prevette total 8 strikeouts in just 3 innings and Emma Solis adding 3 more in relief. Raelyn Roland and Zoe Thornsbury each went 2-2 with 2 RBI's with the team totaling 11 in the second 5 inning run-rule shortened game of the day. Next up is the Home Opener at The River on Sunday Feb 12th • 1pm & 3pm vs St. Thomas
