Indian River Splits with Miami Dade

Indian River State Colleges women's softball split a double header in Miami on Wednesday against Miami Dade.  IRSC dropped the opening game 3-0 but rebounded and took game two 3-1.

In the opening game of the day the Sharks put up the only runs of the game scoring three times in the first inning.

IRSC starting pitcher Taylor Wroten pitched a complete game and didn't allow an earned run.

In game two IRSC struck first when Raelyn Rowland scored on a single by Maeghan Branche.  The Pioneers added two more runs on a sacrifice fly by Cassidy Crum and a run scoring hit by Taylor Wroten.

Devan Ryan went the distance in the circle for IRSC.  Ryan didn't allow an earned run in her seven-inning complete game win.

IRSC raised their season record to 29-13 and sit atop the Southern Conference.

The Pioneers will travel to Eastern Florida on Wednesday, April 20th.  Game times in Melbourne are 4:00 and 6:00.
