Indian River Defeats Keiser University

Indian River State College's women's softball team took both games of a double-header from Keiser University on Wednesday in West Palm Beach.  IRSC took game one 4-2 and completed the sweep of the Seahawks winning game two 5-2.

In the opening game Macie Stanfield (1-0) got the win. Casey Kurent relieved Stanfield in the fifth to close the game and earned the save.

Daija Torchia, Jaden Williamson, and Morgan Roberts all had three hits each to lead IRSC.  Roberts also drove in three runs for the Pioneers.

In Game two sophomore pitcher Jaden Williamson tossed four strong innings to earn her first win in 2021.  Devan Ryan and Jen Jacob finished the game in the circle for the Pioneers.  Jacob earned the save.

Williamson, Daija Torchia each had three hits to pace the team's offense.  Macie Stanfield pitched in with two hits and three runs batted in.

The 4-0 Pioneers travel to Dothan Alabama on Friday to take on Coastal Alabama and Southern Union.
