IRSC Defeats NAIA Power House Keiser University
FORT PIERCE, FL- On Wednesday, November 6th, the Indian River State College (IRSC) women's and men's swimming and diving team defeated defending NAIA champions Keiser University in dual meet action held at IRSC.
The IRSC team secured victories in 10 of the 13 events contested. In the first event, the 400 medley relay, the team of Nika Tomic, Ana Villamil, Ane Meier, and Sara Safranko set the tone with a decisive win. Aurora Zanin followed, claiming the first of her three victories by taking the 1000 free, and went on to win both the 400 IM and the 500 free. Other individual wins came from Ane Meier (200 free), Adriana Roldan (200 fly), Sara Safranko (100 free), Nika Tomic (200 back), and Paola Gonzalez (200 breast). Meier, Safranko, Tomic, and Kelly Zwart closed out the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay.
On the men's side, despite a loss in the 400 medley relay, the team swept all remaining swimming events. Knut Robinson won the 1000 and 500 free, while Oliver Nell claimed victories in the 50 and 100 free. Other event winners included Elliot Weisel (200 free), Anderson Brown (400 IM), Gabriel Morales (200 fly), Noah Smith (200 back), and Kito Campbell (200 breast). The men's team of Morales, Riccardo Pandin, Nell, and Felipe Costa also capped the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay.

- Women: IRSC 155, Keiser 79
- Men: IRSC 164, Keiser 79
Up next for the River is the River Invitational on November 21-23, 2024. This prelim/final event will feature teams from IRSC, Florida Southern College, St. Thomas University, Rollins College, Barry University, and East Coast Community College.
