IRSC Teams Compete at Wellington Diving Invitational and Kojac Swimming Invitational

On Saturday October 2nd, the swimming and diving teams competed in separate invitational competitions.

The swimmers stayed on the campus of IRSC to compete in the Kojac Invitational in which swimmers competed in 5 individual events each. The results placed many of the athletes amongst the top times in the nation for NJCAA schools. Leading the way for IRSC was the 2021 NJCAA male swimmer of the year, Aramis Rivera and freshman Carla Meikle who both got the top time in 4 of the 5 events they competed in.

At the Wellington Diving Invitational, the IRSC dive team got the chance to also put up some good scores and fine tune some new dives they have been working on. The IRSC divers lead the nation for NJCAA competitors in both boards competed.

No team scores were kept for either event.

Up next will be a three way meet to be held at IRSC on October 22 at 11am versus former NAIA champions Keiser University and a new program from Ave Maria University
