Indian River Overpowers Hillsborough with Dominant Second Half

FORT PIERCE, FL- The Indian River State College men's basketball team overcame a five-point halftime deficit to secure a thrilling 108-94 victory over Hillsborough Community College (HCC) in a high-scoring showdown.
The first half was a fast-paced, back-and-forth battle, with both teams showcasing their offensive firepower. Indian River's offense was firing on all cylinders, with key contributions from multiple players. However, HCC capitalized on timely shooting and efficient ball movement to take a 52-49 lead into the break.
In the second half, Indian River came out strong, quickly erasing the deficit. Their offense erupted, fueled by exceptional shooting and a relentless transition game. The Pioneers knocked down key three-pointers and dominated the paint, overwhelming HCC in the final 20 minutes. Despite their efforts, HCC struggled to keep pace with Indian River's offensive surge. Strong performances from The River's starters, along with valuable contributions from the bench, proved too much for HCC to handle. The Pioneers took control and closed out the game with a commanding 108-94 victory.
