Indian River Falls Short in a Nail-Biter Against Albany Tech

WAYCROSS, GA- It was a thrilling back-and-forth matchup between Indian River State College and Albany Technical College. The game was tightly contested from the tip-off, with both teams exchanging leads throughout the first half. The River entered the locker room with a slim one-point deficit, trailing 44-43 at halftime. Offensively, Indian River was led by their sharpshooters, while Albany Tech kept pace with a balanced scoring attack. The first half featured excellent outside shooting and fast-break opportunities from both sides, setting the stage for a dramatic second half.
The second half was nothing short of electric, with both teams playing with urgency. Indian River showed resilience and looked to have the upper hand on several occasions, but Albany Tech answered every challenge with big shots and key defensive plays. Despite Indian River's efforts to pull away late, Albany's ability to execute in the clutch proved to be the difference.
As the game entered its final minutes, both teams were locked in a tight battle for supremacy. With less than 30 seconds remaining, Albany Tech held a narrow lead and managed to withstand Indian River's final push. A last-ditch attempt by The River to take the lead fell short as time expired, allowing Albany to celebrate a hard-fought 82-80 victory.
