Indian River Get Big Win Fueled By The Defensive

IRSC Men's Basketball defeated St. Petersburg 85-62, led by their defense forcing St. Petersburg into 30 turnovers on the afternoon. Micah Octave led the way for the Pioneers offensively with 19 points, while Jayshayne Woodard had a double-double with 11 points and 20 rebounds. Deng Majak, Pablo Tamba, and Ocypher Owens were the other three Pioneers to scor in double figures. Majak scored 14, Tamba and Owens both scored 12. St. Petersburg was led by Brenden Williams who had 16 points on the afternoon. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "St. Petersburg is a very disciplined team, they play hard and compete on every possession. Our guys did a great job executing defensively today which allowed us to get the win.
