The Pioneers Are #2 In The Latest NJCAA Poll And #1 In Region 8

Fort Pierce, Florida – The Pioneers with their 21-2 record moved into #2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Basketball Poll, the highest ranking in school history.  They follow #1 Salt Lake Community College who has a perfect 24-0 record and are followed by #3 Northwest Florida Community College.  Indian River State College (IRSC) Men's Basketball also moved into the #1 spot in this week's NJCAA Region 8 Poll taking over the top spot from Northwest Florida.  There are currently four Florida teams ranked in the NJCAA Top 20 IRSC #2, Northwest #3, Chipola #6, and Florida Southwestern at #16.

The Pioneers won two overtime games last week to put them in the lead in the Southern Conference with a 6-0 record.  They defeated State College of Florida Manatee/Sarasota 84-83 and Florida Southwestern State College 83-78.
