IRSC Men Score 126 Points

Fort Pierce, Florida – In the largest offensive output of the season, the Indian River State College (IRSC) Men's Basketball Team defeated Game Changer Academy 126-58.  The Pioneers jumped out to a 21-point lead on a Mark-Anthony McReed three-point basket with just under 13 minutes remaining in the half, making the score 34-13.  IRSC cruised into the half with a 67-34 advantage.

The second half saw much of the same from The River as they went on to defeat Game Changer Academy 126-58.  IRSC had no problem finding the basket as they had six players score in double digits.  The team shot a blazing 63% from the field and 65% from beyond the three-point line.  The victory moved their record to 10-2 overall.  Linton Brown had the hot hand for IRSC scoring 25 points in the first half and finished with a career high 31 points.  Other top scorers were Tanahj Pettway and Abdoulaye Thiam both tallying 21 points, followed by McReed 16, and Jacob Jackson with 11.  Antrell Charlton just missed a triple double with 11 rebounds and nine assists to go along with his 11 points.

The Pioneers will be in action this Saturday at home when they take on the number 10 team in the country, Florida Southwestern State College.  This will be the second meeting between the two Southern Conference teams as IRSC lost a close contest in Fort Meyers earlier in the year, 94-87.  Tip-off will be at 4 p.m.
