Pioneers Extend Winning Streak

FORT PIERCE, FL - Indian River extends winning streak to five with a 10-6 win over South Florida. Local product John Riordan get his first career start for the Pioneers. The freshman went four innings only allowing three hits striking out one getting the win. Michael Malone and Sammy Beir would finish the game for Indian River striking out five over the last five innings. This would be the third game in a row where the Pioneers have scored ten or more runs in a game.

The offensive was led by Raul Feliz and Matthew Rubin who both hit home runs in the winning effort. Feliz who is heading to Dayton University next year lead the Pioneers with five runs batted in and two hits.

The Pioneers will be heading to St. Pete tomorrow for Citrus Conference play as look to take the first game of the series.
