Indian River Rolls Past A3

FORT PIERCE, FL - Indian River extends its winning streak to five with a 10-4 win over A3. Down 4-1 in the fifth inning the Pioneers climbed back with a two-run home run by Raul Feliz and scoring seven runs in the next three innings to secure the win.

Angelo Smith got the start on the mound for the Pioneers striking out eight batters over four innings and allowing four runs. Freshman Chris Knier earned his first win of the year allowing no hits or runs while striking out eleven over five innings. Both combined for a season high in strike outs for the Pioneers with 19.

The Pioneers bats continue to stay hot with 12 hits led by freshman Jason Lashley with three hits. Brett Patten, Raul Feliz and Matthew Rubin all extend hitting streaks

Indian River will hit the road Saturday to face #3 in the Region VIII Coaches Poll, Seminole State College, in Samford.
