Indian River State College Pioneers Defeat Eastern State College in Blow Out Victory Thanks to Third Inning Boost

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity put up five runs in the third on its way to an 8-2 victory over Eastern State College on Wednesday.  The offensive onslaught by Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity was led by Troy Hamilton, Chase Sanguetti, Michael Montes, and Diego Arroyo, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning.  In the third Hamilton doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Sanguetti singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Montes singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Arroyo singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Tibur Rivero was the winning pitcher for Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out nine.  Dale Michuad threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity hit one home run on the day. Daniel Hernandez had a four bagger in the fifth inning.

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game.  Hernandez, Arroyo, Carlos Lopez, MJ Restivo, and Sanguetti all collected multiple hits for Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity.  Hernandez went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Indian River State College Pioneers in hits.  Indian River State College Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field.
