IRSC's Steve Pearce Massive Game Winning Homerun Leads Boston Past Houston

Indian River State College Baseball Hall of Fame member Steve Pearce blasted a 456-foot home run over the left-field wall in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros on Tuesday. Pearce's massive homerun was the game winning hit in the Redsox 8-2 win over the Astros.

Pearce attended IRSC in 2002 & 2003. In his 2003 season with the Pioneers he led the team with a 423 batting average, scored 47 runs, hit 13 homeruns and had 50 runs batted in.  After graduating from Indian River Pearce transferred to the University of South Carolina where he was an All American, leading the Gamecocks to the College World Series.
