The Pioneers offense stays hot in Monday’s win

The River offense came out on a mission in Monday's 16-4 win over Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

The offense struck for 9 runs in the first 2 innings of the ballgame and they never looked back after that.  Danny Camilo, Hunter Holland, Cole Brutcher, Paul Benitez, and AJ Hrica all had multiple hits for The River on the afternoon.  Holland led the way with 4 RBI's and he also added his 4th home run of the year.  Brutcher contributed 3 RBI's all coming on a bases clearing double to left center.  AJ Hrica pitched in with 2 RBI's as he went 3-3 at the plate raising his season batting average to .452.

Freshman Michael Stovman received the start for The River on Monday.  Stovman tossed 4 shutout innings with 6 K's as he earned the win.  Jack Durkin, Jarred Morgan and Travis Perry all pitched 1 inning in relief.  Durkin, Morgan and Perry all allowed 0 earned runs and struck out 2 Kalamazoo batters.  The River will be back in action in conference on Wednesday at Palm Beach State College.
