River pick up two wins versus Pasco Hernando State College

The River beat Pasco Hernando State College by a score of 6-4 in game one of the doubleheader on Saturday.  The Offense was sparked early by a two-run home run in the 1^st inning by Cole Brutcher, his 2^nd home run of the year.  The River offense remained steady throughout the game, adding runs in the 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th innings.  IRSC totaled nine hits in the game.  Axel Salgado, AJ Hrica, Diego Ramos, and Cole Brutcher each had two hits apiece, to lead the pioneer offense.  

Nikolas Bitner earned his 1^st career victory in his 1^st career start for the Pioneers.  Bitner threw four and two-thirds innings giving up two runs on four hits while striking out four.  Tyler Sullentrop and Travis Perry came out of the pen to shut the door for IRSC.  Perry recorded the last four outs of the game to earn his 1^st career save as a member of The River.  Guzman was the losing pitcher for Pasco Hernando State College.  He went the distance giving up six runs on nine hits, while striking out six and walking one.   

In game two IRSC stole a victory late from Pasco Hernando State College earning the 4-2 win in game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader.  Pasco Hernando jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1^st inning.  The lead would not last long, as The River's LF Hunter Holland hammered his 1^st home run of the year to tie the game 1-1 in the bottom of the 1^st.  The Pioneers bats then when quiet, which lead to Pasco Hernando taking a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the 6^th inning. 

Then the bats came to life for the River in the bottom of the 6^th.  Axel Salgado started off the frame by doubling to center.  Danny Camilo then doubled in pinch runner Travis Perry, to tie the game at 2-2.  Hunter Holland once again, came up clutch with an RBI single to put The River ahead for good.

Eli Finney started the game on the mound for the Pioneers.  Finney gave up two runs on seven hits in four innings, striking out eight and walking none.  Justin Alintoff came out of the pen to lead The River to victory.  Alintoff pitched a scoreless two and a thirds innings only allowing one hit, while striking out four on his way to his 1^st win of the season.  Jack Durkin then came out of the pen to earn his 1^st save by pitching the final two thirds of an inning.
