St Pete College Capitalizes Early and Defeats IRSC

The IRSC Pioneers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-3 loss to St. Pete College on Friday.

S.t Pete College scored on a walk by Churchich, a groundout by Filipovski, a single by Mills, and an error in the second inning.  The River struggled to contain the offense of St. Pete College, giving up nine runs.  St Pete College's big second inning, started when Aristy was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.  Drew Dwyer was on the mound for The River.  He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and seven runs (4 earned) while striking out three.

Justin Alintoff, Nikolas Bitner, and Jarred Morgan each contributed in relief for IRSC.  Alintoff lead the charge for the IRSC bullpen as he pitched three innings striking out four, and giving up zero runs. The River racked up six hits. Hunter Holland and AJ Hrica each collected multiple hits for IRSC. Holland went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.  St Pete College had a total of nine hits in the game.  Rodestky and Nunez all had multiple hits for St Pete College.
