Indian River took on Palm Beach State in Lake Worth Tuesday afternoon.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the 2nd inning with a single run and added a second run the following inning. The River showed some fight and tied the game up on a Nick Snyder triple in the 6th inning and took the lead a couple pitches later on a wild pitch.
The 3-2 advantage that the Pioneers possessed was short lived as the Panthers tied it up in the bottom of the inning. The the 7th inning the Beach exploded with a 6 run lead. It was enough to close up the scoring in the ball game as the score remained 9-3 the rest of the way.
The Pioneers look to return the favor at home this afternoon as they take on these same Panthers at 3pm here in Fort Pierce.
