The River Sweeps Pasco-Hernando on the Road
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – The River volleyball team continued its strong conference run on Thursday night, defeating the Pasco-Hernando State College Bobcats in straight sets on the road. The River battled through competitive frames to earn the sweep, winning 25-22, 26-24, 25-17.
The opening two sets were tightly contested, with The River staying composed in pressure moments to edge out the Bobcats late. Strong serving runs and timely kills from both the pins and the middle helped secure control down the stretch of each frame. By the third set, The River carried full momentum, using steady defense and efficient transitions to pull away for the sweep.
Indian River wraps up conference play this weekend with two key road matches — Friday, October 24, against State College of Florida - Manatees in Bradenton, FL, followed by Saturday, October 25, versus St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL.
With the postseason in sight, The River looks to punch their ticket to the state tournament and finish the regular season strong.
