The River Tops Palm Beach on Sophomore Night

FORT PIERCE, FL - The River Volleyball team closed out their regular-season home slate in style on Thursday night, earning a four-set win over conference opponent Palm Beach State College on Sophomore Night. The River battled through momentum swings to take the match 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18.

It was a night of celebration and emotion as the program honored its sophomores for their hard work, leadership, and impact on The River. Fueled by a supportive home crowd, the team came out strong, taking the opening set 25-21 behind sharp serving and aggressive swings from the pins. Palm Beach State responded in the second, capitalizing on River miscues to even the match 1-1.

The River regained control in set three, building early momentum with tough serving runs and strong defensive coverage to edge out a tight 25-22 win. In the fourth, The River carried that energy to the finish line, dominating at the net and maintaining steady composure to close out the match 25-18 — securing the victory and ending their home season on a high note.

With home play complete, The River hits the road next week for the final stretch of conference competition as they look to close strong and secure their spot in postseason play.
