IRSC Women’s Basketball Puts on An Offensive Clinic

Saturday afternoon Indian River women's basketball suited up for a none conference matchup against Florida National University JV. The Pioneers made up for a poor shooting night Wednesday against FSW, outscoring FNU 127-46 earning their 21st victory of the season.

The Pioneers had six players in double digits led by sophomore shooting guard Shomari Phillips who scored 21 points, going 7-12 from behind the arc. Janiah Alexander came off the bench and had a career high night scoring 19 points, 10 assist and four rebounds. Makala Torrence scored 18 points, Rapuluchi Ngorka found away to earn another double double scoring 16 point and 10 rebounds. Anteresa Dickson added 15 point and six rebounds. Freshmen Kailyn Peters scored 11 points, six rebounds and six assists.

With the Win, the Pioneers remain nationally ranked at 16th with an overall record of 21-3.
