Indian River Suffers Road Loss at SPC

Wednesday evening in Saint Petersburg, FL Indian River traveled to Saint Pete in a non-conference matchup. The Pioneers could never recover from a slow start failing 73-57 in a highly contested rematch. Prior to this game the Pioneers was on an 8-game winning streak and ranked 15th in the nation.

"SPC did a great job in disrupting our rhythm, we could not get going offensively which caused us to struggle, defensively I thought we never got the stops we needed late to cut the lead. We will go back and watch this game to ensure we're better next time we step on the court" Coach Robinson noted.

Sophomore Shomari Phillips led the River in scoring contributing 17 points and five rebounds. Tavi Habib added 15 points and Rapuluchi Ngorka tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds.

With the loss, the Pioneers are 15-3 on the season.
