Women’s Basketball Win Streak Extended

Wednesday evening in Fort Pierce, Indian River host Santa Fe College in a non-conference matchup. The Pioneers jumped out to a 10 – 0 run in the first quarter and never looked back. The River would go on to win 86-48 bringing their win streak to four games in a row.

Indian River had five players in double digits, George Mason Signee Tavi Habib led all scorers with 23 points and seven rebounds. Freshmen point guard Jasmine Peaks added 15 points and four assists. Rapuluchi Ngorka added 14 points and seven rebounds. Shomari Phillips and Kailyn Peters added 10 apiece.

"Overall, I thought we took pride in our matchups on the defensive end, we held Santa Fe to four points in the fourth quarter. That is the way we want to defend every night Coach Robinson noted."

With the win The Pioneers are 11-2 on the season, with The IRSC Holiday Classic taking place this weekend on Massey Campus.
