Indian River Women’s Basketball Defeated on the Road

Saturday Afternoon in Fort Myers, Indian River State College  traveled to Florida Southwestern in a Southern Conference matchup. In the first quarter, The River came out forcing FSW to turn the ball over with their aggressive defense. "I thought we stuck to the game plan early on, causing FSW to turn the ball over but we did not capitalize on their mistakes" Coach Robinson noted.

The Pioneers struggled to make shots shooting a season low of 11% from beyond the art and 17% from the field. The Poor shooting slump cause the River to lose 62 – 33, with the Lost the Pioneers are 3 – 2 in conference play.

Breanna Campbell led the Pioneers in scoring contributing 12 points and four rebounds, Tavi Habib added 9 rebounds and five points.

The River will be back in action at Home February 2nd against Palm Beach State.
