Wednesday Evening in Miami, Indian River State College women's basketball defeated Miami Dade 64 – 51. The Pioneers led the entire quarter, extending the lead to 18 points going into halftime.
Sophomore guard Breanna Campbell led the Pioneers in scoring contributing 19 points, five rebounds and three assists. Maryanne Logsdon added 16 points, 5 rebounds and four assists. Freshmen Shomari Phillips scored 15 points, two rebounds and two steals.
With the win, the Pioneers are 13 – 7 on the season and 2 – 1 in conference play. Their next game will be on the road against Hillsborough Community College, Saturday January 22 at 2pm.
