Women’s Basketball Suffers First Home Loss

Wednesday evening in Fort Pierce, Indian River State College lost a tough conference match against Florida Southwestern. In a highly contested matchup, The River started the game strong but will struggle defensively in the second quarter. "Tonight, we were tested defensively and we failed to remain discipline to our defensive assignments, against good teams we can't afford to make those mistakes" Coach Robinson noted.

Sophomore shooting guard Breanna Campbell led the Pioneers in scoring contributing 18 points and five rebounds. Maryanne Logsdon added 17 points and six rebounds.

With the lost, the River is currently 11-7 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. The River next game will be Saturday January 15th at 2pm vs Miami Prep.
