Women’s Basketball Falls Short at Santa Fe

Saturday afternoon in Gainesville, Indian River State College women's basketball program lost 65-57 to Santa Fe College. In the first half, there were multiple lead changes before the Saints took a four-point lead going into halftime.

"I thought we came out competing hard and getting defensive stops in the first half, after halftime we were in foul trouble which hurt us throughout the second half" Coach Robinson noted.

Saint Fe lead grew to 16 points going into the fourth quarter, the Pioneers fought back to cut the lead to six points but could never overcome the large deficit.

Maryanne Logsdon led all scorers with 25 points, four rebounds and four assists. Freshmen Tavi Habib contributed 10 points and 16 rebounds.

With the loss, the Pioneers are currently 5 – 4. Their next game is Wednesday December 1st at 5:30 against Florida National University JV.
