Poor Shooting Night Dooms the River

Saturday afternoon Indian River State College women's basketball program travel to Palm Beach to face top ranked Palm Beach State. After a slow start, the River loss to Palm Beach State 73 – 54.

Coach Robinson noted, "We started the game off slow only scoring 6 points in the first quarter, we shot the ball terribly. Anytime you are on the road we have to do the little things and today we did not get it done. This game is definitely a learning experience for us; we will take it and continue to get better."

Freshmen Breanna Campbell led The River in scoring with 21 points. Je'Nya Wilder added 10 points and seven rebounds.

The River poor shooting night has been currently placed 4th in the conference with a record of 2-3, overall record of 12 -11.

Indian River women's basketball will be back in action Wednesday January 29 at home against ASA Miami.
