Indian River Win Steak Continues

Indian River State College women's softball team won both games of a double header on Wednesday afternoon in Miami.  IRSC won the opening game against Miami Dade 2-1 and completed the sweep winning game two 3-0.

In the opening game sophomore pitcher Taylor Wroten went the distance allowing just five hits and struck out three.

Jaden Williamson paced the offense with two hits. Kyla Knier and Kelsie Ganci contributed hits for the Pioneers.

In game two sophomore [pitcher Jaden Williamson also tossed a complete game, allowing just four hits in the 3-0 win.

Cassidy Crump led the offense with two hits, two stolen bases, and two runs batted in.

The Pioneers sit atop the Southern Conference at 6-0.  IRSC is on an eleven-game winning streak and raised their overall record to 21-9 on the season.

IRSC returns to action on Saturday, taking on Eastern Florida in Melbourne.  Game times are at 1:00 & 3:00.
