Indian River State College Battles Tough at Gulf Coast Classic

PANAMA CITY, FL- Indian River State College men's basketball team traveled to Panama City to compete in the 2025 Richard Sanders Gulf Coast State College Fall Classic presented by Visit Panama City Beach on November 7–8 inside the Billy Harrison Field House. On the first night, the River faced off against #14 Gulf Coast State College in a hard-fought game that went down to the wire. Despite their strong effort, Indian River fell short, 85–78. Caleb Cameron led the way with 22 points, while Caleb Rivera added 16 points and Adam Squire chipped in 10.

On day two, Indian River took on #21 Chipola College in another intense matchup. The River battled hard from start to finish, forcing the game into overtime before falling by just one point, 81–80. A late foul with two seconds remaining sent a Chipola player to the line, where he made one of two free throws to seal the win.

Elliot Ikubase led Indian River with 21 points, followed by Caleb Rivera with 18, Adam Squire with 14, and Caleb Cameron with 13.

Despite two narrow losses, the River proved they can compete with anyone in the country, as both opponents were nationally ranked in the Top 25.
