The River Splits Opening Weekend at the River Classic

Fort Pierce, FL – The Indian River State College men's basketball team opened the 2025–26 season with a strong showing at the annual River Classic, hosted on the Indian River campus this past weekend.

The River tipped off the season on Halloween night against Eastern Florida State College in a high-tempo matchup. The first half was tightly contested before the Titans went on a 17–2 run to take control. Eastern Florida carried a 45–24 lead into halftime and maintained its offensive rhythm throughout, handing The River a 97–80 loss.

Adam Squire led The River with 19 points, followed by Caleb Cameron with 14 points and 7 rebounds, Caleb Rivera with 13 points, and Tamiel Green with 11 points (5-of-8 FG) and 7 rebounds.

The River bounced back in dominant fashion on Day 2, cruising past North Florida Prep with an impressive 114–49 victory. The River came out firing, jumping to a 59–23 halftime lead and never looking back. The balanced attack and defensive intensity set the tone as Indian River secured its first win of the season.

Arlindo Bernardo led the way with 23 points (10-of-12 FG, 1-of-1 3PT), while Adam Squire added 18 points (7-of-11 FG, 4-of-8 3PT). Tamiel Green recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Brandon Noythanongsay added 13 points (6-of-7 FG, 1-of-1 3PT), Caleb Cameron contributed 12 points (6-of-7 FG), and Isiah Cameron finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
