Indian River Men’s Basketball Wins the Southern Conference

Indian River Men's Basketball earned the sweep over Miami Dade going 3-0 to win the Southern Conference. It was a hard-fought game where the Pioneers had a 42-41 lead at the half before pushing the lead to double digits in the second half. The Pioneers were led by Sophomore PG Antione Jacks who scored 18 points making three 3s to go with 4 assists. Sophomore Pablo Tamba also scored 18 for the Pioneers to go with 6 rebounds on the night. Ocypher Owens scored 16, and Micah Octave scored 12 for the Pioneers. Miami Dade was led by Dylan Edwards and Tyriek Weeks who both scored 18 points on the evening. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "Miami Dade is a very good team, they play hard, are physical and very well coached. We knew tonight was going to be a battle. I'm proud of how our guys continued to buy in to the gameplan and compete for 40 minutes."
