Men's Basketball Defeat FSW to Remain Undefeated at Home

Indian River Men's Basketball won their 4th straight Southern Conference game Wednesday night, defeating Florida Southwestern 85-75. The Pioneers held a four-point halftime lead in a game that was back and forth until the final minutes. Indian River has a balanced attack with 6 players scoring in double figures. Leading the way were Sophomores Jyre Mccloud and Ocypher Owens who scored 16 points a-piece. Mccloud scored 16 points to go with 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Owens scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Antoine Jacks contributed 12 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Other Pioneers scoring in double figure were Pablo Tamba with 11, Micah Octave and Deng Majak each with 10. Florida Southwestern was led by Sophmore point guard Jordan Mitchell who scored a game high 21 points. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "FSW is a very talented, tough, and physical team. They came ready to play tonight and our guys responded. There were a lot of ups and downs in this game, but our guys stay together and executed down the stretch to come away with a big conference win tonight."
