Pioneers Baseball Defeat South Florida State

Indian River State Pioneers  took the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over South Florida State College Panthers Varsity on Wednesday.  The game was tied at five with Indian River State Pioneers  batting in the top of the eighth when M Montes singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

South Florida State College Panthers Varsity scored three runs in the third inning, but Indian River State Pioneers  still managed to pull out the victory.  The big inning for South Florida State College Panthers Varsity came thanks to a single by Brylan West and a sacrifice fly by Jakoby Stanley.

Indian River State Pioneers  got things started in the second inning.  David Hernandez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the top of the seventh inning, Indian River State Pioneers  tied things up at five when Hernandez doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

CJ Williams led the Indian River State Pioneers  to victory on the mound. Williams surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out eight.

Logan Wash started the game for Indian River State Pioneers . The lefthander went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out five and walking zero

Indian River State Pioneers  tallied 12 hits in the game.  Cameron Carroll, C Adams, Hernandez, and Daniel Hernandez each managed multiple hits for Indian River State Pioneers .  Carroll went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Indian River State Pioneers  in hits.
