Indian River State College Pioneers Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat ASA

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity took the lead late and defeated ASA 8-5 on Monday.  The game was tied at five with Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Troy Hamilton singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity pulled away for good with six runs in the sixth inning.  In the sixth D Ante Starks singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, David Hernadez drew a walk, scoring one run, Chase Sanguetti tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Luis Castillo singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Logan Wash was the winning pitcher for Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity. The lefty lasted one and one-third innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one.  A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Nick Pazos, Ethan Kramer, Nick Adams, and Miguel Peralta all securing outs and ultimately the victory.  Peralta recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity.
