The Indian River State Baseball Falls to Broward

Indian River struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Broward College in a 12-6 loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday afternoon in Hollywood.

Ryan Benson was on the pitcher's mound for Indian River. He surrendered seven runs on eight hits over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Zachary Audet and Christopher Astoske pitched in relief of Benson throwing three and a third innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Indian River totaled eight hits. Diego Arroyo and Cole Brutcher each collected multiple hits for Indian River. Brutcher and Arroyo had two hits in the game.


IRSC returns to action on Thursday in Ft. Pierce taking on Broward in game two of the three game series.
