Indian River Baseball Falls to Seminole State 9-8 on Final Play of Game

Indian River trailed Seminole State by five runs in the sixth inning, but fought back scoring eight runs in the 9-8 loss. Jackson Muldowney, Diego Arroyo, Tyler Randolph, Levi Aguila, Arroyo, and MJ Restivo came through with RBIs to lead the Pioneer rally.

After Indian River scored two runs in the top of the eighth, Seminole State answered with two of their own. IRSC scored when Arroyo singled on a 0-2 count, driving in one run and Randolph to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Joseph Clement took the loss for "The River." He allowed one run on one hit.

Indian River added one home run on the day. Restivo had a dinger in the ninth inning.

IRSC tallied eight hits in the game. Restivo, Arroyo, and Cole Brutcher all collected multiple hits. Brutcher, Arroyo, and Restivo each collected two hits to lead the offense.
IRSC will travel to play Seminole again tomorrow, February 2nd in Sanford.
