IRSC Volleyball wins at Home

Indian River picks up Southern Conference Win

The Indian River State College volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win (25-21, 25-22, 15-25, 25-16) on Tuesday night in a Southern Conference matchup against Broward College. The Pioneers improve to 12-7.

Leading the way offensively for the Pioneers was Freshman Mallory Roney with 19 kills. Sophomore setter Jada Bivins dished out 38 assists, while adding 8 kills of her own.

The Pioneers played stellar defense, finishing the match with a team high of 103 digs, as five players finished with 15 or more digs. Leading the way was Freshman libero Jasmine Sayer who finished with 30 digs making it into the 25 dig club for the third time this season. Also contributing were Fialova, Bivins, Radsheer and Roney who totaled 19, 18, 16 and 15 digs, respectively.

Thursday, October 10 the Pioneers will head to Miami Dade College for a 6:00 p.m. conference match.
