Indian River Inks Bemis and Sayre to the 2019 Roster

The Indian River State College volleyball team has signed Jillian Bemis and Jasmine Sayre for the 2019 season. Bemis comes from a volleyball family where all four of sisters play volleyball as well. Jillian will graduate from Middleburg High School this spring. Throughout her high school and club careers, Bemis has racked up the accolades. She has been named to the All-County team for the past 2 seasons as well as a 3-time All-Conference player. Jillian is incredibly versatile and an experienced athlete and will be able to contribute to the IRSC program with her natural athleticism. She is a great attacker, but also can run an offense as a setter. Bemis is an elite student as well and she will finish up her high school career finishing in the Top 5% of her class.

Jasmine Sayre will be coming in as a defender and looking to take over the libero position. She has a lot of experience in this position and helped her high school team to the FHSAA 6A State Championship! Jasmine played for Merritt Island High School and is a 3-year letter winner. She has also played club ball for Cape Coast where she had earned a 3rd place finish in 2015. Indian River can't wait to add these two athletes to the roster this fall!
