IRSC Athletes Honors Top 10% Student-Athletes

All of the IRSC student-athletes were recognized for their academic achievements last week at the halftime of the men's basketball game in a doubel header versus Palm Beach State.

The volleyball team had four representatives among the IRSC Top 10% scholar-athletes. The young ladies honored from the IRSC volleyball program were freshmen, Brittany Beckelheimer, Sydney Oglesby, Becca Sills, and Flavia Rusterholz. Of those four student-athletes on the volleyball team, Oglesby, Rusterholz, and Sills each had a 4.0.

The awards showcased the importance of academics within IRSC athletic department and the student-athletes of Indian River. Sydney Oglesby, who earned a 4.0 and is majoring in psychology. Hailing from Switzerland, Flavia Rusterholz who also earned a perfect 4.0 has her concentration on Business Administration. Becca Sills also maintained a 4.0 GPA with a pre-med major and Brittany Beckelheimer, majoring in Graphic Design, racked up an impressive 3.82 GPA to round out the Pioneer program.
